Bemused means to be confused or bewildered. My connection is that alot of the time when something isn't explained throughly and clearly to me i get confused. This one time my teacher made a list of assignments that were due aon all different dates and i got bemused and did the wrong assignments on the wrong days.
In alot of movies and books characters tend to be confused. In the book "Kissed By An Angel", the character Ivry is left bemused and sad when she finds out her boyfriend is missing. She doesn't understand how this could have happened.
